I remember this quite well.  My friend and I took this 15 year old guy that went to high school with us.  We were seniors. We did his hair spiky and called him Johnny Poseur.   Then we met this girl in the front rows who apparently thought Love and Rockets wrote all their songs about her.  She knew all the roadies though.  It was weird.   Like she kept saying they wrote "Love Me" for her...which I am unsure if that would have worked, given her age.  Anyway, my friend said this girl gave her mono, just by my friend standing beside her.   I don't remember, but it's a fun anecdote.  

Both bands were awesome.  Everyone sung along.  It was a lot of fun.
